wow... pitching is so far awful All the 90s classes have shit pitching because of the era we are about to enter. You’ll see some pitchers with a few ASG appearances but not much else. The majority of the pitching greats of the 90s came from the 80s classes.

OK, posted the file. It's time to GRIPE! I'd like to finalize the file by Sunday afternoon/evening.
Note, as players are drafted, I will be editing jersey numbers and secondary ratings (speed/stealing/fielding) ideally by not more than one letter rating as needed, and reset number ratings (based on age and talent, intended to lower inflation), but will refrain from editing potential ratings.

Edgardo Alfonso should be GOOD in doubles and probably C rated at 3B. Phil Nevin should be GOOD or BR in Homers, AT LEAST AVG in doubles if not GOOD. C at 3B. Tony Batista should be GOOD or BR in Homers, maybe GOOD in doubles? C at least at 3B and also at least C at SS. Jeter should probably be GOOD in doubles. He won 5 gold gloves, his defense needs to be a lot better than what it is. Probably AVG in HR's as well Rich Aurelia should be AVG or GOOD in HR's, GOOD in doubles Magglio should be GOOD in homers Higginson should be GOOD in doubles and possibly Homers too Ibanez should be GOOD in HR's Hollandsworth should be GOOD in doubles and AVG in HR's Damon should be GOOD in doubles and AVG in HR's Mike Cameron should be GOOD in doubles and HR's McCracken should be B/B in SP/SA Ichiro should be A in SA. Outfield arm is definitely not E Shannon Stewart should be GOOD in doubles Jeffrey Hammonds is probably GOOD in HR's
I'll try to look at pitchers Sunday if I have time. Feels like we kind of hurried through this class.

Matt - FYI, you might have downloaded an incomplete file. I just uploaded a new one about 20 minutes ago. Batters didn't change so your comments are still valid. But the pitchers are all different. My bad.

Sure, he made most plays he got to, but he got to way less balls than even an average range SS

Easy to have good % when you only glove balls 3 feet to each side

How do you not give Ichiro A stealing as one of the best stealers in mlb history
|
|
|
Post by Boston Red Sox on Jul 4, 2020 4:02:05 GMT -5
Ichiro has an 81.3% stealing percentage with 509 steals to 117 caught if he's not A/A who is

Jeter should have a .976 percentage but anything higher than D range is a disgrace to every decent ranged SS in mlb history

When ARod joined the Yankees, Jeter had the second worst range of all starting SS. ARod was top 10. Jeter should have moved.

I think C Charles Johnson was a much better hitter if its the one that played for the Marlins Fairly average hitter by the numbers, but FFF doesn't get you anywhere close to that here. Why is Giambi a 3B? Edit: he played 70 G at 3B (way more than I expected), all in his first three seasons....and 1300 G at 1B. He should be a 1B/LF/RF, maybe with a super-crappy 3B rating.

Once the alcohol and roids kicked in, Giambi had to become a full time 1B lol

He clearly couldn't cut it as a major league 3B so he shouldn't have the ability to play it here.

Had decent range but clearly made a lot of errors.
