Welcome to 1992! Next season will be the expansion draft! That will be a week-long effort, and will probably be run the last week of August.
File and pages are processing now. Exports, Messages, unnecessary files deleted. Financial Settings, Broadcasting, and Cash on Hand fixed. Mark just needs to send me Minor League Team Names and Team Logos. Ammy draft has been posted, but in the meantime, plan on LATTER PART OF THE UPCOMING WEEK (Thursday/Friday) being the EARLIEST we will start FA/Ammy.
As per usual, please note that the amateur players have NOT been touched yet in this file. Brian will start to work on the ammy players shortly.
Winter meetings can begin! Now is the time to rethink strategy, make trades, and propose rule changes. Feel free to export FA offers; they will not get lost as we make updates in the file because I do not import FA offers until the actual sim --- importing offers and then posting a file allows other teams to see who has a favorite offer and it would be possible to top an offer by simulating (you do not need commish powers to sim FA).
Trading is OPEN again. Reminder on trading picks; rule change from a couple of seasons ago:
Basically, at any given time, you will be able to trade the CURRENT and NEXT SEASON'S picks.
- When the file flips, the current draft has not started yet, so you will be able to trade 2 seasons worth of picks. - When the draft ends, the current draft has just ended, so you can only trade next season's picks. - At the end of the season prior to file flip, it's the same as above --- the current draft ended a while ago, so again, you can only trade next season's picks.
The only issue is the Mariners' 3rd Round pick, which was apparently traded twice. Dan, let me know what you want to do, it's our trade.

Nah. I think it makes sense to edit it if it doesnt make sense. If you win consistently those things should increase. If you lose consistently they should decrease

Probably taking a Hoffbl vacation while Brian does the draft I would imagine this is the case. He invests a lot of time and this is really his only breaks two to three times a year.

Yup. Brian has his own time too and he's doing me a great favor for doing most of the ammy work for me. So once I get the file back on Monday, I'll run trades and start FA.
I'll post an official schedule probably tomorrow. Just vegetating today.

Sorry y'all, work has been a bit different of late. The other day I had 2 phone calls going troubleshooting / fixing two different systems that lasted > 4 hrs. In a way it worked out nicely as I was able to flip back and forth as while I was waiting for info on one, I could work on the other.
If I have to burn a day of vacation to finish it, I will

So is the schedule getting pushed back? FA #1 is being run tonight, one way or another I finish the draft before the holiday weekend (aka Friday morning as I know I will have zero time during the weekend)
