What bubble? Being in a hotspot like Miami the players could get it from the housekeeper changing sheets at the hotel You know hotels don’t let housekeepers in rooms anymore with Covid, right? Pretty sure they’re just doing less housekeeping not zero. Anyway that was just an example. Point is this was bound to happen almost no matter how well players adhered to the rules |

Have you been in a hotel since this started? They do zero while someone is staying.
How was this bound to happen? They have a good idea how this started. I'm positive it wasn't housekeeping because no one comes into the rooms but the players while on the road.

Ok, that makes sense and goes with what I was thinking. There has to be an outside affect(effect? Iv still get confused when I think about it too much) somewhere. Word is they had 4 positive tests, held a team meeting, and decided to play anyways. The fact it was up to Marlins staff to not forfeit the game is on them.
I think it actually was just a 'chat' between a few players and the decision to play... and I doubt married/compromised/etc players would have thought it was a good idea if they had been asked.

Not Hilton hotels in the northeast - I've been in the middle of quarantine and they didn't enter the room. I assume, and I live in the south, that NC is a little more lax. Texas was, at the time, a lot more lax until recently.
I'm sure there are protocols for players and staff while in hotels. They're in a city for two nights so doubtful it came from there.
I don't blame you for wanting to golf, I've been quite a bit. Thankfully they were never closed!

No, but putting covid positive patients back into nursing homes certainly doesn't help. Especially in the tri-state area.
You haven't heard people leaving the testing sites because of long lines yet being called and hearing they're positive? They never got tested..

Watching MLB Network... they just mentioned that Soto was frustrated waiting on two negative tests in a row. Apparently had a negative/ positive/ negative before he was cleared and should be in the lineup tomorrow.
