I said I'd look next week, but I have today off and got curious. Didn't know the best spot to put this.
There seem to be a ton of errors in the one draft that I looked at. The following players should be in the 1994 draft pool (were drafted and signed in 1994, in real life) but are listed in the OOTPB 1995 draft class. The exception is Javier Martinez, who is listed in the OOTPB 1996 class.
Again, this is only looking at drafted players, not international players or signings. It also doesn't include players in the OOTPB 1994 draft that should be in other drafts. That analysis costs extra.
Javier Vazquez Paul Konerko A.J. Pierzynski Carl Pavano Ben Grieve Scott Podsednik Kyle Farnsworth Terrance Long Ramon Castro Scott Elarton Mike Darr Matt Treanor Jimmy Anderson Gary Glover Chris Woodward Brian Bowles Jason Ryan Hiram Bocachica Oscar Robles Joe Davenport Rod Lindsey Jake Robbins Cleatus Davidson Brian Rose Ron Wright Derrin Ebert Roy Smith Robinson Cancel Simon Pond Javier Martinez (1996) Jose Leon Jeremy Powell Chris Fussell Kevin Witt Wes Helms

So, I'm looking through this, and I'll preface by saying I've been a stickler for historical accuracy since the beginning, but of this list, 7 guys had any sort of meaningful careers at all, 1 of them is a multiple all star, another might be an all star a time or two and another might luck his way into an AS game, but is an asshole. We're changing draft classes over guys like Hiram Bocachica?

I just provide the information to the policymakers.
I wasn't going to list the marginal career guys that weren't in the file if they didn't exist. But because they existed in the wrong year, I listed them.
