In essence it allows you to snag your teams real life franchise / fan favorite player.
Every team has a set of reservation points which they can use to reserve a player. You have 106.
The player cost is 10 + player value + number of picks you're skipping ahead to get them. Player value is top 7 WAR, doubled. You can always ask me for cost analysis each season. A really good player probably costs 70 - 90 points.
Each season I post the top 10 ranked players in draft and they're assigned to one team they played in real life. This gives you a flavor of what's out there.
You might be able to use it on Braun or if Yelchin plays a few more seasons with MIL then him as an alternative.
