I'm guessing a 19 win team had some flat out horrible players on it. Tanking is tanking and until there's anything on the rulebooks to change the situation we can argue semantics all day long. horrible players can be a lineup full of 6/4/4s in this league And you know that stool isn't doing that. He tanks, he goes rock bottom. |

Once again, Im all for signing mediocre FAs to bad teams, but when we start calling up spects before a team is ready Im done.

To me this is pretty easy.
If you see someone tanking Pm Chris and Brian and they sign 4 or 5 guys to fix the roster.
If Seattle is the main culprit then sign 4 or 5 FAs and auto DCs and go.

I dont want other Gms deciding when my spects are ready. spec will always be allowed to stay in the minors, at least that is what Chris told me, and how I also feel about it. |

From all the discussions in the league: Unless a rule is in place, people will continue to do what they want.
Nevermind anything else, rules have to be on board or nothing will change.
Otherwise it's the "well it's been done before" or "show me the exact rule to follow otherwise you're wrong."

I understand that I fielded a terrible team. I literally jumped on my computer the night before the sim and exported quickly with what little time I had.
Made offers on two free agent starters to replace some very questionable ones I had called up and exported. It was all the time I had.
Just to point out as well I called up a SP Prospect in Estaban Loaiza. I didn't leave him in the minors, he was ready and I called him up. I left Colon in the minors mainly because he's 22 and I'm not ready to compete figured one more year down would be okay given his age.
Again, yes its a terrible team. But due to time constraints it was what it was.

A Blue Star should NEVER be forced to be brought to the majors. I have plenty of guys that could/should be called up by your definition for the past three seasons. I choose not to start their ML clock. There is strategy to calling a guy up, especially in this league when you can time when you want a fan interest boost. The only way to curb tanking of this sort is a draft wheel(HFTC), lottery, or punishment if you don’t win X amount of games. Until Chris becomes active again and put his foot down on any of these proposed rules/issue nothing changes. |
