The Athletics send OF Billy Williams to the Cubs in exchange for OF Vada Pinson Matt has been working hard enough to make this happen that I shouldn't wrangle him around on it anymore. Thanks, Matt! Hope he kills it for you--we're still 40 years from interleague play.  |

Ugh. Tried and tried and tried, first with the previous GM and now with Noah. I overpaid, but I'm deep in OF's and I'm here to have fun as well as win. I guess the lesson is don't immediately assume that you can take best player available and then have an easy time trading for the guy your heart wanted all along. Thanks Noah.

I wouldn't say you overpaid. Two fairly similar players, but honestly, I'd take Williams over Pinson if both were offered to me today. I actually think (or know) that I offered at least as good of a deal a while back, maybe a better one.
