I had been thinking about ways to eliminate a pitcher's E duration if they had not been utilized.
Here are the options I was thinking:
If pitcher is 26+ yo and starts less than 5? Logic: Non-prospects must prove their worth, can spot start sometimes
If pitcher is 30+ yo and starts less than 10? Logic: By now, pitchers must be starting regularly by this point.
If not, then the pitcher will lose its SP duration rating.
Thoughts?

Nah, I feel like stopping the relievers turning into starters was enough when we did it. Plus the pitching is going to thin out with the games started lower now,. 5 man rotations and steroid era pitching stats

I also disagree with the potential rule change. It nice to have a guy in your bullpen that can spot start for injuries. Part of a larger team building strategy. I love that aspect of the game.
I export every sim, shuffle lineups and rotations based on upcoming opponents, days off, ext.

Pass on dropping E starters... Max start games dropping + injuries seem high to SP... A few games may be needed by an E starter more frequentley

Also opposed, I’m building a pen that has numerous guys who can start and I prefer that. Not sure what it accomplishes

Plus we're more selective in ammy drafts. Less pitchers have SP duration.
At a certain point it will be irrelevant. Relievers start games now.

There’s also the thing where guys sometimes switch between starting and relieving from one year to the next.
