SP-Bob Keegan-37 year old in last year of his deal making just over 5 mil. Not top of the order good but can certainly provide some decent innings in the middle or back of your rotation. Not looking for a lot. Maybe young 2.5-3.0 star spect or 3rd round draft choice or something.
2B-Granny Hamner-31 year old who I signed to a one year 4.79 mil deal. Having a nice season, .301/.333/.837 with six homers while playing stellar defense at 2B. Nice player for the stretch run and probably worth looking at re-signing if you need a 2B going forward. Probably looking for a 3 star spect.
SP-Fred Hahn-Only 29 years old, kind of debated re-signing him but I've got lots of young arms close. Really struggling this year despite very good ratings. Has been solid for me prior to this year, gets lots of strikeouts, probably a #2/#3 type guy. Good arm for the stretch. Looking for a 3-3.5 star spect.
1B-Walt Dropo-35 year old 1B signed to a one year 795K deal. Provides some pop, has seven homers, dominating lefties, .304/.355/.873. Young 2 star spect or 3rd rounder or 5 points or something like that. The other side of my 1B platoon, Dale Long would also be available for something similar and cheap.
RP-Don Elston-29 year old setup man has been very good this year, 2.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, signed to another year after this one, scheduled to make just under a mil in ARB.
Would move him for a AA or AAA RP with similar type talent ratings.
2B/3B-Tommy "Rabbit" Gaviano-34 year old signed to a one year 750K deal. Has a .351 OBP and .830 OPS with five homers and a couple of steals in just under 100 AB's. Good bench guy or stop gap, has been very productive. Looking for something similar to what I want for Dropo.
1B-Fred Richards-I brought him back this year hoping he could be the left handed side of my 1B platoon and he just didn't hit like he has in the past for me. Good left handed bench bat. 1.5-2 star young spect? Pretty much free.
2B/3B/LF/RF-Vern Morgan-Soon to be 30 year old, has been my starting 2B the last couple of years and has been pretty solid. Hit 15 homers last year, has been even better this year, .281 with four homers, .703 OPS. I'm debating bringing him back as a super UT guy next year but Maz will be taking over 2B next year. Good stick, pretty good ratings. Young 2.5 star spect or 3rd round draft choice would nab him.
Spects who are available:
RF-Willie Kirkland is a 24 year old with AVG hits G power and some speed C/B who can play all 3 OF spots.
1B-Don Mincher is a 19 year old who is AVG in hits but G in homers and BR in walks. Struggled in 2nd look at AAA pitching, I just sent him back to AA.
1B/LF/RF-Leon Wagner is 24 years old in AAA, G in hits, BR in homers, AVG in walks.
I've had conversations with a GM in this league about Don Robertson. I am willing to listen on Robertson, he goes BR in hits, homers, walks and K's and is rated B at all 3 OF spots. He will not come cheap however. I had offered him Robertson and Kravitz for a top SP spect in AAA who is nearly ready and rated Loyal, a 26 year old player who is currently hurt with great ratings who is major league ready, also loyal, an upgrade over Kravitz at C, a guy currently in AAA and a 3 star 1B/OF prospect in AA who is a few years away. He thought I was asking too much, which is fine, I'm not necessarily looking to move him, but I would in the right deal.
Lenny Green is also somebody I may be willing to listen on.
PM is always best, I'd like to make some room for some of my youngsters by Aug. 1 so make me an offer, even if it's a little lower than what I posted as far as my wants. Depending on the player I may be pretty motivated.
