2001 Draft Lottery Setup & Results

As per new rules, the bottom 6 teams will be placed into an NBA-style draft lottery.

The bottom 6 teams for the 2001 draft are:

1. SDG (37 wins)
2. NYA (46 wins)
3. NYN (47 wins)
4. STL (53 wins)
5. ARZ (56 wins)
6. CLE (59 wins)

Base combinations are:

1. SDG - 500 out of 1,000
2. NYA - 250 out of 1,000
3. NYN - 125 out of 1,000
4. STL - 63 out of 1,000
5. ARZ - 31 out of 1,000
6. CLE - 31 out of 1,000

- SDG, NYA and NYN had less than 50 wins, so 50% of their combinations are unassigned.

Revised combinations are:

1. SDG - 250 out of 1,000 ... other 250 out of 1,000 will be unassigned.
2. NYA - 125 out of 1,000 ... other 125 out of 1,000 will be unassigned.
3. NYN - 63 out of 1,000 ... other 62 out of 1,000 will be unassigned.
4. STL - 63 out of 1,000
5. ARZ - 31 out of 1,000
6. CLE - 31 out of 1,000



I ran the random number generator last night to get 4 unique numbers from 1 to 14, and compared it to the combinations list. The results of the RNG are as follows:
