Also its pretty obvious that Chris' stint in BBSBL inspired him to do something much closer to BBSBL then GABL here. Something to be said for that. You got me. In the end, I am striving for historical accuracy and care as with GABL, but with a little bit more flexibility as with BBSBL (PD Reversals and a very limited cash/point system). I like that the people GABL bashing run some of the worst franchises there. If there were winning I have no doubt they'd find it much more fun. I am not here to read useless banter in every thread. I don't want to open up a thread debating league rule and find 5 pages of "LOL, lulz," that I have to sift through to get to the actually matter.

It is a proven idea that works. Reward people for spending times on the board. It makes the league more interactive and it hastens the process of everything because people are on the board more. Now obviously this isnt for everyone. But even in my limited free time I find the time to be extremely active because I desire to be. because of this I am quick to reply to PMs, posts, trade blocks, etc. Also means the board is filled with crap posts when people post for the sake of posting. I blame Shale.

Post pads are essentially pointless. Initially they were for down times. Cant sim today. Vacations. Etc.
Or sometimes to build excitement for a new year. But ya, if I ever run a league again post pads will be few and far between.

The things I didnt enjoy when I won 100 games and won division titles is are the same things I dont enjoy now. I gues it would be easier to dismiss my opinion based on my current lack of success in GABL. But it isnt true. Pretty sure I quit last time coming off a 100 win season with a very good team. Funny.

Doesnt take long to see that a post is irrelevant.

Hey Daryl, just my two cents though. I like what I like. You like what you like. Good stuff. While I dont get people arguing without solutions I do see that we have different strokes for different folks.

Post pads are essentially pointless. This. In basketball leagues they were fun though. Let me find a couple BBS message boards. Posts galore.

I agree with darryl, if there can be slightly more civility, I'm OK with banter.
Again, I blame Shale =)

I think the tempo and activity in the league is boring. I think the mentality is of an older generation then I enjoy.

I just had an epiphany.
In order to balance the one per generation and one per lifetime, why not have both? I'm thinking of franchise tag points where the career WAR of said player is deducted. The higher the WAR the less you have left to spend on players later. Some teams may tag 4 players or just 2 over the course of 60+ years of siming
