Trade Deadlines

The non-waiver trade deadline is July 31st. While not a feature in OOTP5, the waiver-wire trade deadline is prior to the start of the playoffs. During this time, players with a major league contract (300k or more, or otherwise not on a minor league contract (MLC)) must be sent through and clear waivers before they are able to be traded. Players with minor league contracts (MLC) may be traded without having to clear waivers. Trading is not permitted after the start of the playoffs until AFTER the File Flip.

Thought that was for players bc it makes sense you can’t trade or claim waiver players at that point. Why wouldn’t cash be whenever. It’s cash. Hit the Venmo
