This is one of the more ridiculous threads I have read, and makes me want to quit ootp again. Why cant we just all be adults here? Im sorry you feel this way Shale, I truly am. In no way should i have to explain myself over a fake award in a fake baseball league, but to try to help you understand my thought process I will, because i feel bad anyone would think like this. I have not heard from Matt or anyone else. We exchanged a PM at the waiver deadline because he won the claim on Guerrero. Other than that, i have not talked to him since my first season here. Here was my thought process. I actually thought @cubsgm was the GM of the year due to the trades he made. But he wasnt going to win anyway and this is for manager of the year. My next thought was to vote NYM because I felt he came out of nowhere. So I went to fan expectations to verify my thought. To my surprise you were expected to win 95.4 games. You won 98. I noticed philly was expected to win 81, and finished just behind you with 94. That was enough to sway me to Philly. That was the extent of my thought process. The end. This thread should be locked, its toxic. I appreciate that someone noticed. I'll be honest, just for transparency, while normally I put a little work in to this, this year I just did not. I had just gotten home from the hospital and spent less than 5 minutes on it, just to make sure I got my points. Sorry. |

All you did was confirm Shale's theory that some of you can't be adults. And before the lame line is trotted out, use of language doesn't make your point untrue when it's true.

Not voting for someone in a poll for no other reason than spite but wants to try to hold a moral high ground. I'm done. |

Lots of people to blame here. Biggest takeaway here is the lack of respect and understanding. Elite level. Congrats fellas. Were a nice representation of the state of our country. Breathe it in.

With that said, there will be no more Manager of the Year rewards. I will simply add 5 points to the team that beat their fan expectations the most, in each league.
Brian and I will come up with other voting measures to complement the Fireman and Playoff MVP rewards that involve voting for players, not us.
