Please vote for the top managers in each league this season! Remember to vote for BOTH AL and NL!

I was expected to win 113, I won 97 and only won because of $20M Hausman. I don't deserve votes lol.

Damn, the hate is real lol
I go from 75 wins to 98 and an NL pennant, but Philly still getting votes after my squad swept them in the NLCS? You're a good dude Nick, but I can tell certain people here gave you votes because they didn't wanna give me any credit because I'm a piece of dirt in their eyes. That's fine though. I see how it is.

How does Matt have a single vote? He blew out his division by 30 games and lost in the NLDS. Only explanation is people like to play favorites and ruin integrity.

I'm a humble dude and don't enjoy boasting much, but I should be winning this NL Manager of Year poll by a landslide. I'll give anyone 5 points if they can make a strong case for any of the other NL playoff teams that is even the slighest degree stronger than my case. You'll have to really convince me though.
Bottom line: STL and LA were both expected to blow out their divisions and we all knew it. Philly was expected to contend, but none of them can compare to the numerous trades I made to gain 23 more wins. Like this is laughable.
Honestly, if this shit continues, we should just stop doing MoY polls if people are just gonna play favorites and deny deserving winners of the title they should be carrying with them.

This isn't the "Vote for your best friend just for the fuck of it" poll. Or the "I can't stand this dude fuck him I'll vote for anyone else just to spite him" poll. It's to choose in the most unbiased way the best GM in each league for the given season. Bunch of cornball bitches that can't seem to handle my presence, but don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.
And if there is indeed a conspiracy going on, I will find out and call those people out and hold their lack of integrity accountable.

I'm expected to blow out my division.... well who put that team together? Why should anyone be penalized because the rest of the division is all rebuilding? I did what I was supposed to during the regular season until my team choked in the playoffs.

I picked philly because he beat me. Don't like it? Oh well. That's a very stupid reason to pick someone. You're the kind of person that the bbwaa cut when they took away 100 votes this last year.

A stupid reason to pick someone after he beat the best team in the National league in the playoffs?
Ok. Thanks for the input.

You're welcome you deserve it for flippantly making a joke of something that is supposed to be fun but dies when people don't take it at least semi-seriously.

I think Matt was just being sarcastic...
I chose Philly because he blew out his fan expectations. Same reason why I picked Brewers.
Full disclosure: and he happens to be one of my closest friends.

You're welcome you deserve it for flippantly making a joke of something that is supposed to be fun but dies when people don't take it at least semi-seriously. So by voting for a guy that greatly outdoes fan expectations, and that same guy beats the best record in the NL in the first round of the playoffs, but I'm making a joke of voting for him as manager of the year?

If we all had the same criteria for every reward wouldnt voting be irrelevant? We get to value different things and voice our own opinion.

First, thank you to the teams that voted for me. I certainly appreciate that recognition, even though, like Chris, I don't feel I did anything special. I don't seek out a lot of trades because I simply don't enjoy the social aspects of games like this. (And this thread is a great example of why I would rather stay away.) Sorry! But I love baseball, statistics, and I really enjoy drafting and managing this team. I set up my entire organization every year, down to the #9 hitter on my A-ball team. So I may not be a big presence around here, but I play the game as much as anyone. You can see that by the export tracker (I've tied or led the league in export points for 4 straight seasons) and the fact that I've never had a draft pick automated because I didn't pick or send a list.
As for Shale, congratulations on a great season. Sorry you didn't get more Manager of the Year support, but it seems a little petty and childish to complain about Manager of the Year voting. (And voters might remember that in future seasons.) I didn't ask for votes, and was surprised to see the amount of support I had. Nor should I have to defend my votes. As the sole voter for both St Louis and Detroit, my criteria was that they were simply the best teams this season. Playoffs are irrelevant to me, since those are statistical coin flips. And in real life, voting for seasonal awards is done before the playoffs anyway. If this is a problem, then just have someone create an algorithm that automatically determines the winner.
Anyway, thanks again to everyone and good luck in 1985!
