Marlins trade 3B/OF Gary Sheffield and SP Kevin Rogers to Yankees in exchange for the Yankees 2nd round pick in 2005 amateur draft and 1st and 2nd round picks in 2006 amateur draft.

My rebuilding had everything to do with the timing of my roster age combined with my lack of financial flexibility that other GM's don't have to deal with. We all know the rest of the league would’ve rebuilt because there was absolute garbage littered throughout that roster.
