As far as all time greats, I did make Pete Rose BR in hits despite the fact that technically he was only GOOD. He was the all time hits leader. I believe that only Tony Gwynn in the modern era would rate as BR in hits by the book. You're welcome. You are welcome to take it back. that way detroit isnt as scary lol ..... im shocked cincy didnt take rose....guess hes waiting for bench?

Doubles are pretty much an average of hits and homers anyway, so if both are brilliant, then doubles automatically become brilliant I'm not going to lie, I'm somewhat taken aback at how little you know about rating rookies and it makes me think that this is why I question a TON of ratings in LBB. We have an OOTP5 ratings chart and you can actually figure EVERY rating by using baseballreference.com. For pitchers you go to the Batting-Against section which can be found by clicking the "More Stats" link on the player home page. Batters should all be self explanatory. The only numbers that are up for debate are velocity, GB% and pitches. Also, endurance to some extent. I admit the LBB ratings are somewhat inflated because there is no reversal system there. That's just to protect top picks from becoming shitty right off the bat. Let's say a top spect starts off with average hits and they fall to fair. That player then is pretty much ruined with no reversals, so I don't wanna see that happen too much.

I probably won't ever have Nolan Ryan, but I will be disappointed if he only has a fair in walks, which will essentially ruin him from becoming 1 of the greats Ryan WAS only FAIR in walks though. IN fact, he led ALL of baseball in giving up walks EIGHT times. His numbers, however are very close to AVG and this would be the case where I'd probably bump him to AVG. But, in this league, you have the ability to bump the ratings, so I really don't think it's that deep. Fair enough

If all you NL people are simply scared of the Mets' future, I can understand. But please don't let that cloud any of your judgments. No offense (what I always say before I'm about to offend you) but you are one delusional cat. Jeebus. I was sorta joking around in that post to be honest...
