We should be paying attention to how long between draft and major league debut and rate accordingly. Ken Harrelson is an example of why. I've always done this, I've always taken what your debut numbers were, lets say for example that you batted .250 your rookie year and that represents a "5" in hits. If it took you 3 years to debut I always just count backwards, assuming that you should be able to develop to the point where you gain a "number" every season. So if you debut in your 3rd year after draft I'd give you a batting average that corresponds with a "3" in hits. 3 your first year, 4 your 2nd year, 5 your potential debut year which should give you about a .250 average your first year. I do this with every player and in every category. |

Pretty sure you can't follow up "fuck yourself" with calling someone else absolutely disrespectful. lol I'd prefer Darryl and Matt to continue with drafts if they are willing. |

If there was nothing concrete to offer, I have to wonder if you are just blindly generalizing the draft pool not really aware of how these players actually developed in real life... I have to say, I'm not impressed.

I get it that you are passionate, but we already have a problem with so many pitchers having "good" ratings and not amounting to much, if we boost everyone isn't that going to make the problem worse?
I think this pool has a healthy pool of batting prospects, for once.

The bigger problem than the draft classes is the shear randomness of PD's. Nothing can be done about them. That is simply the way OOTP5 is designed. The reversals certainly help with the negative ones, but I'm not sure what else the league can do. Assuming the new versions of OOTP don't have quite so much randomness to the PD's, but I'm just guessing.
Anyways, adjusting the draft classes won't fix anything. And I'm not sure anything really needs to be fixed. I know, I know, easy for me to say. But this league has already had multiple teams that didn't start out with "all the advantages" of the Dodgers and Yankees that have made the playoffs. Most of the ones that haven't competed have had owners that aren't around much. If you work the system, you can compete in this league with things exactly how they are.
