So let's cut this rule going forward. Saves Chris some work there has to be some kind of accountability for roster management though, I just don't think this really works.

I say this MLC rule gets reversed.
If you have a tanking complaint you PM Chris and he deals with it.
Or Chris hires a tanking mod that checks all rosters.
I think Pming should work though. Keep the drama off the boards.

Honestly I feel like the best way would be a once a year check around May 1st and if you're not playing a fully developed top prospect or a guy under 30 you signed in FA they're forced up. it should be a commish judgement probably.

it would be similar to players currently forcing release on the FA thing

I don't think prospects should be touched. People have varying opinions on that. Plus starting their clock when you want is key.

Or we be adults at let people run their teams as they see fit?
I mean all the complaining and not one word said about the worst GM we've currently got in the league.

So punish the guys that have depth in his system because he has a 30 year old that he doesn't have room for and has for insurance. Also leaving it to the judgement of the commish is subjective imo though he would be fair and consistent i feel. If they are forced up who is forced down? Seems like this strategy is a good one but will be punished to try.

I'm all for scrapping the rule. Seems like it would be too much work to ask this years stuff gets reversed. Just going forward for next season.

IMO you have rules and follow them or you dont have rules and let people do what they want. If you enforce some type of tanking penalty without rules it seems personal.

IMO I'm not sure how taking players from rosters is being compared to tanking. I think the purpose of this to start was to give tanking teams more "roster fillers" (and someone was obsessed with someone else's minor league teams). All it's done from my end is take away those fringe players I've gotten lucky with PDs before. Tanking is a totally different issue/ topic.

It seems like Break I'd the reason this rule came about. But he stated this wasn't really a concern of his. Tanking was his concern. So I'm saying let's eliminate this rule and concentrate on tanking.

lou Whitaker got a HR PD to Brill at age 38 this past offseason I just had a couple good PDs to 2 33-year-olds that just barely missed the cut because I called them up in September. Devo finally gets the ratings jumps weve all wanted him to get for years as jays fans lol

I would volunteer to be the Tanking Czar for payment in points. If Chris chooses this route.
As the Czar I would absolutely NOT force any blue stars to the majors. If I deemed a gold star player is OBVIOUSLY better than a player on the ML roster, I could PM the Comish.
Check all rosters after the opening day sim and watch the teams obviously trying to loose 100 games throughout the season?
In the end this is Chris's decision and I think it pretty obvious he is only trying to help curb tanking.

My 2 cents are; The only thing I dont like about players sitting in the minors, is if someone was to offer them a contract, they wouldn't accept a minor contract. If someone wants a gold spec, they should be allowed to buy them off a minor team, OR the team that is holding them should have to match the contract. (something reasonable) Hording decent talent, makes it hard for Chris to fill out a tanking teams roster.

Just saying fewer FA's make it easier to tank.
