Well I am against this idea.......its sim league...not a make sure each team gets a good guy each decade....its simmed and it goes the way it goes. The bad teams get the good players for a reason in a draft.....if your team does well and you dont get to draft where you want.....that's your problem.

I like the idea of losing picks in the draft.
Each Gm needs to make sure they have those picks available the year they are using their hometown pick.
Id actually be ok with losing all the picks in that draft tbh.

For anyone concerned about teams being gifted a top pick; let's keep in mind that these are just names. I intend to make drafts as deep as necessary to maintain the same level of talent that is available for the first overall picks.
The other thing we could consider is that perhaps no reward camps shall be utilized for these players? Only PD Reversals?
Don't forget that even if Spencer is gifted Barry Bonds, he may not end up being the best player that came out of that draft.

I sound like I am trying to persuade the naysayers, but I think it's an idea worth exploring.

Sucks that McCovey Cepeda Marichal and Perry were all acquired in the 50s It does, but in a way, that is what makes this "rule" even more fun. You have to pick and choose, and use some strategy, and it will still leave a lot of really good players out there to be drafted. But it is going to be fun, for sure.

It also goes to show that people crying that all the talent will be gone is so short sided. Obviously there are tons of players available. Im just bitching and moaning because I have 4 HOFers in the 50s and then I have Jack Clark in the 70s and Jason Schmidt in the 90s. Yuck

A quick look at the career records in GABL will tell you that not all of the high-end prospects turned out. This will be the same way.

Another alternative is to require that such players must have been drafted AND played their ENTIRE career with said team. That actually would not allow me to pick ARod or O'Neill, but my list wouldn't change.
That would also force Bonds and Griffey to not be eligible. Thoughts?

GABL doesn't allow PD reversals, so not really a valid basis for comparison.

If they are just names, why are you going to so much trouble to make certain certain names end up at certain teams? Just like it is important for the Cardinals to get Gibson and not a similarly talented random player, it similarly is important to me to be able to get and manage Koufax and not a similarly talented random pitcher. They aren't just names, names is what this all is about.
