I'll make my pick shortly. Names I was considering all just went. Probably be within the next few hours. Don't want Shale to blow a gasket that I'm taking too long

Lol at Tony Perez at A/G/A isn't the league called hoffbl? Guys in this league struggle to hit 20 hr and brilliant struggles to hit 30. Tony Perez perennially hit over 20 and sometimes over 30.

Looked at league statistics from 1957 - 1960. I counted, on average, 9-11 players who hit at least 30 HR each season. Looked at CATO and it seems like it's 8-10. Looking further, I counted 16-17 players who hit at least 25 HR each season, with 1959 being an outlier with 20 players. Looked at CATO and it's about 15-16 players hitting 25 HR or more.
Looking even further, I counted 30 players who hit at least 20 HR in 1958. Looked at CATO and guess how many hit 20 HR or more.
30.
So, it's close; ever so slightly lower? yes.
But to say guys struggle to hit 20 HR is probably factually incorrect. They may appear to struggle because of the fact that we're in a home-run friendly era (since 1996) and we are used to guys hitting 30 HR like it is nothing. There also may be the issue of higher overall ratings league-wide. However, the global modifiers are ensuring that they hit within the range they are supposed to. The reality is that the statistics are actually pretty spot on.
In any case, when we expand in 1961/1962, I had been planning to check the global modifiers and make sure they match the ERA we're entering in and I had been planning to do that about every 10 seasons. I do this to make sure that the statistics are reasonable for the era that the games are being played in, not 2014.

I also looked at Perez before I released the pool and found them to be accurate. Don't forget that Perez was fairly durable and his 10,800+ plate appearances helped him get all those counting stats. In the 1970s, he averaged 23 HR a season which is smack-dab right in the middle of the Good rating.
And who knows what will happen to him during player development.

Perez will get the talent increase to hits anyway. If there were no RC's, maybe his ratings to start would have been a bit more generous.

Yea; plus we're slowly addressing the overall heightened ratings. I think the slow approach is good. Plus, we're entering into a pitching era until the late 1960s.

No list that I've seen.
Speaking of which, can we do away with the Draft username, and just have lists sent to me, and you if you want them? I hate having to log in and out to check that account, and if it is just me running the draft, and you don't ever log into that username, I don't see the need for it right now.
Just a thought.

If no one else cares for it, I'd be OK with it, but that means only one person can have the job. BTW, I plan on posting a public 'auto-list' ... that way you can pull from the list without having to log into the game ... and that should multiple persons assist, they can move auto's along.

Meh I've never seen the point of a separate user name for draft mods. The way I see it, everyone should just PM lists to the commish and all draft mods at all times no matter what if they know they probably won't be around in time for their pick(s). I just see it as unnecessary when everyone involved in running the draft can be PM'd at the same time so no one misses a beat as long the given GM remembers to do this.
